Factors that influence denture costs

Understanding the cost of your dentures begins with a few key factors. How much you pay out of pocket can be even lower than your original plan price.

Not all dentures are created equal—the average cost of dentures can vary. At Aspen Dental, all of our types of dentures are created with quality. From budget-friendly to premium, we offer a range of solutions that can be customized based on your needs.

Full dentures
Restore your entire smile with our hand-crafted conventional dentures. From getting back to smiling quickly and affordably to the gold-standard denture solution, you can choose from one of our four packages—Basic, Classic, Signature or Signature Elite.

Partial dentures
Restore part of your smile with removable partial denture inserts that replace one or more missing teeth. With our three packages—Cast Partial, Flexilytes℠, Flexilytes Combo℠—choose from the most secure fit, the most natural-looking, or the “best of both worlds” solution.

Implant dentures
When you’re ready to upgrade to the best denture solution, implant dentures (snap-in dentures) click into place on top of permanent implants in your mouth. Easily snapped on and off, implant dentures are expertly crafted for a secure, snug fit.

All of our custom-crafted dentures are made for durability with high quality materials and this affects the cost of dentures. We’ll custom-fit your denture using a gum-colored acrylic base and high-quality tooth materials, and all acrylic dentures can be customized for your smile.

Pre-work steps
We’ll get your mouth ready for your new dentures by scheduling you for any hygiene work or tooth extractions you may need. When your pre-work procedures are complete, you’ll receive an immediate denture while your mouth heals and your permanent denture is crafted.

What affects pre-denture treatment pricing?
If you have any underlying dental issues, this will also affect how much dentures cost overall. Any added dental cleaning costs or tooth extraction costs depend on your current oral health and if those treatments are needed to prep for your final fitting for full dentures.

Impressions, fittings, adjustments—getting your smile to its best place can take time. Your Aspen Dental care team may need to see you a few times to get your smile just right. The number of fittings and adjustments during this process can affect your out-of-pocket costs, but ultimately it varies from patient to patient based on what’s right for your smile.

When creating prosthetics, such as a denture, you ultimately spend more money if the creation of your smile has to be outsourced to an out-of-state lab or a lab in another country. Onsite labs also ensure better quality when your denture is custom-crafted.

With onsite labs at Aspen Dental, we make designing, creating, fitting and adjusting your denture easier than ever so you save time and money, while providing the highest quality.

Dental costs can feel overwhelming, whether you have dental insurance or not. At Aspen Dental, we believe dental care should be both accessible and affordable for everyone. That’s why we aim to make things simple for you by partnering with most insurance providers and offering flexible dental financing options through third-party providers with 9 out of 10 patients receiving same-day approval. Please note, we do not accept Medicaid.

For new patients without insurance, we offer a special introductory rate of $29³ for an exam and X-rays to help you get started. We're committed to making your dental care experience easy and affordable.

Denture costs FAQs

Aspen Dental provides competitive pricing for dentures compared to other leading brands. New denture-wearer packages for $399 per arch⁶.

⁶Starting at price is based on a Basic single arch denture and is available to new and existing denture wearers. Additional charges for relines and other required dentistry services. Price available in select offices.

The cost of dentures is influenced by several key factors that contribute to the overall expense of your treatment plan. While these factors affect the overall price, how much you pay out of pocket is dependent on if you have insurance, financing through third-party lenders or use the Aspen Dental Savings Plan for your care costs. Factors that affect the cost of your dentures include:

  • The type of dentures you need, such as full or partial dentures

  • The materials needed to make your dentures

  • The complexity of how they’re fabricated

  • Any necessary pre-denture treatments

  • Number of adjustments needed

We want to help you make informed decisions about your denture options. Keep these in mind when selecting customizations for your smile and how they may affect the quality of your dentures or your budget.

How much your dentures cost with extractions is dependent on your dental insurance plan and what it covers. (We do not accept Medicaid.) While we work with most providers to ensure as much of your care is covered as possible, the cost you pay out of pocket varies greatly from patient to patient. Without insurance, new denture-wearer packages are $399 per arch⁷ and this not does not include the cost of any extractions if needed.

When working with your local Aspen Dental care team, after your consultation and choosing a denture package, your team will create a care plan and guide you through your recommended treatments and their related costs. These may include:

  • Oral exams

  • Tooth extractions

  • Impressions

  • Wax try-ins

  • Tissue conditioning

  • 3D imaging

  • Dental X-rays

  • Denture relining

  • Denture adjustments

Aspen Dental offers several denture package options at affordable prices. Basic and Classic could be your best options for affordability. When you get your dentures at Aspen Dental, you walk out with more than just a new smile. We cover your denture with leading-warranties and the Denture Money-Back Guarantee¹⁰ so you can feel secure in your smile.

The type of denture you get will also depend on your dental and lifestyle needs, which varies from person-to-person. Your Aspen Dental care team will discuss your affordable options and find the best solution for you.

How long a denture lasts depends on materials, proper care and consistent maintenance. To ensure your denture remains comfortable and functional, the American Dental Association recommends having your denture assessed every 5-7 years to see if it’s time for a replacement. Over time, your gums may change shape, and the dentures can experience wear and tear, which will lead to adjustments, relining or replacement.

Our dentures come with a 6-month, 1-year, 5-year or 7-year warranty depending on the type of denture, plus a Denture Money-Back Guarantee¹¹ for your peace of mind.

¹¹The Denture Money-Back Guarantee applies to all full and partial dentures and covers the cost of the permanent denture(s) only. Additional adjustments may be offered prior to refund. The guarantee period begins upon insert of final denture or hard reline and refund request must be submitted within 90 days thereafter. Denture(s) must be returned within 90 days after refund request date.

At other providers, same-day dentures may be more expensive than traditional ones due to the faster process time, but at Aspen Dental it’s just another way that we mak getting the dental care you need easier for you. This includes giving you more peace of mind—and making sure you never leave your local office without teeth.
